Meditation does not have to be mysterious, intimidating, or perfect.

This class is for people who are curious about meditation, people who have tried and wandered away, and people who already have a meditation habit but feel their practice has become a little dry, mechanical, or disconnected from deeper progress.
Together, we will return to the basics in a warm and grounded way: how to sit, how to work with the breath, what to do when the mind wanders, and how to build or refresh a practice that can actually support your life.
You do not need previous experience. You do not need to be especially calm. You do not need to know how to “empty your mind.”
And if you already meditate, you do not need to start over. Sometimes returning to the basics is how practice becomes alive again.
How this class will be taught
This will be a live, conversational class, not a recorded course. You will be joining a conversation between two old meditation friends, and everyone in the class will be welcome to join in — by speaking up or by typing in the chat. Just listening is also completely welcome. Jennifer and Giancarlo will share from their own practice, respond to questions, and explore the basics of meditation in a way that feels personal, practical, and alive.
In this class, we will explore:
- Simple ways to prepare the body and mind for meditation
- Breath awareness and basic relaxation
- What it means to witness thoughts without being swept away by them
- How to work gently with distraction
- How to refresh a practice that has become mechanical or inconsistent
- How to build a small, sustainable home practice
Who this is for
This class may be a good fit if you:
- Want to begin meditating but are not sure how
- Have tried meditation and felt discouraged
- Used to meditate and would like to return
- Already meditate but feel your practice has gone flat or stalled
- Have a busy or restless mind
- Want a grounded practice without pressure or performance
- Are looking for a simple way to return to yourself beneath the noise

Special Guest: Giancarlo Luiggi
[I have been walking the path of yoga since 2004, drawn to it as a deeper spiritual practice and a way of living with greater presence, meaning, and inner clarity. Over time, yoga has become less something I “do” and more a way of being—an ongoing unfolding of awareness, listening, and connection to life itself.
I am trained in Vinyasa and Hatha yoga, and I continue to study and explore different lineages and approaches. This ongoing learning is part of my commitment to keeping the practice alive, embodied, and accessible. I have been teaching since 2007.
My teaching is rooted in presence, intuition, and inner awareness. I aim to create a space where each practitioner can meet themselves as they are, and gently turn attention inward—toward what is ready to be seen, felt, and nurtured. From that place, we explore how to bring greater care, awareness, and alignment into life.]
