I am passionate about helping people find steady ground within the mind — and within the deeper life beyond it.
As a child, I was easily overstimulated and grew up in an environment that often felt overwhelming.
One night, lying anxiously in bed and listening for the yelling to begin downstairs, I heard a male and female voice say my name: “Jennifer.”
I felt both loved and relieved at the sound of those voices.
To confirm what I had heard, I padded out to the hall and asked, “Mom, did you call me?”
“No. Go back to bed.”
Any other night, I might have been stung by the irritation in her voice. But that night, I smiled.
Something in me knew the voices I had heard were loving. They were not from my mind or outside of me, not a dream, a sound, or a thought. They were clearly intimate, incorporeal, and real.
That tiny moment became an initiation. It turned me toward inner voice, direct knowing, and dimensions of life beyond the mind. I began looking for systems, texts, practices, and teachers that could help me understand what I had experienced.
For many years, I looked for resonance in traditional religions and philosophies, but often came away still searching. Eventually, I began to understand that what I was seeking could not be found outside me.
It had to be discovered within.
