Loosen the grip of inherited descriptions—and recognize the strengths alive in your own experience.

Identity is not a verdict. It is living.
Yet the descriptions we hear from society, family, and our own habits of thought can begin to feel final. This workshop offers a practice for returning to the living evidence of your own experience.
We may even start limiting ourselves before anyone else has to.
In this experiential workshop, we will return to positive moments from our own lives—not to construct a polished new story about ourselves, but to notice the strengths already alive in the ways we choose, respond, care, create, persist, and participate.
We will begin with two simple questions:
What is a recent positive moment you experienced?
What were you doing that helped make that moment possible?
A positive moment gives you living evidence.
When you slow down and look closely, you may recognize qualities that have been overlooked, misunderstood, or even reflected back to you as defects.
Perhaps persistence was called stubbornness.
Sensitivity may have been treated as weakness.
Independence may have been called disobedience.
Imagination may have been dismissed as impracticality.
Together, we will practice listening to what your own experience reveals.
You’ll leave with:
- Two or three positive moments that matter to you
- Clear language for strengths you can recognize in your life
- A repeatable practice for moments when you feel stuck, diminished, or unsure of yourself
- A deeper understanding of how positive moments can loosen the authority of inherited descriptions
